FAQ for ScaleART2018

  1. When is the setup or Competition submission time?
    The setup time for all vendors, manufacturers and clubs shall be on 14th Sept 2018 ( Friday) from 7pm to 10pm. All competition entries for SMM and KINETIC CHALLENGE shall also start from 14th Sept 2018 7pm to 10pm and continued from 10am to 12noon on 15th Sept 2018. Thereafter, no late entries will be entertained.
  2. When is the pack up and Competition entries collection time?
    Pack up will only be allowed from 9.00 pm to 10pm on 16th September 2018 or 10am to 12noon 17th Sept 2018. All competition entries shall also be allowed to be collected on these time slots. Thereafter, any belongings leftover in the hall shall be collected by SMM and SMM shall not be responsible for these items.
  3. What if I need power outlets?
    Please forward any request to SMM 1 week in advance to allow for preparation. The cost for each power outlet source will be based on the Venue owner rates and at the moment is at the region of RM100 to Rm150 per point.
  4. Is there parking on site?
    The loading bay can be accessed from ground level and there is parking within the building at a fee.
  5. Is there accommodation nearby?

  6. Who do we contact if we need assistance?

  7. Is there food nearby?
    The Hall is in a shopping mall. There are a variety of restaurants and café within.
  8. When do we pay for the rental fee?
    The last date for payment for rentals of booths and sponsorship shall be 31 July 2018. Please refer to the notice to be sent to you on the account details for the transaction. Receipts will be issued on 14th Sept 2018 on site.
  9. What are the exhibition hours?
    scaleART runs from 10am to 10pm on 15th and 16th Sept 2018. All participants are reminded to be responsible for their displays/goods/exhibits. The Organisers will not be held liable for loses or damages.
  10. I am a manufacturer but wish to sell my goods as well. Can I do so in the manufacturer booth?
    We provide sponsorship for the manufacturers and may permit sales for only local goods manufactured and no other brands. However, we encourage that any sales should be carried out via rental at the vendors’ booth or through tie ins with the vendors in the event. This is to encourage networking with our local vendors.
  11. Are rental fees refundable in the event of non-attendance?
    We are unable to entertain any return of rental fees.
