Tamiya HMS Prince of Wales circa 1941

It took close to 5 months to complete the kit with the inclusion of the wonderful White Ensign Model PE set and some reference help from the Internet though images were very limited.

The Tamiya kit still remains the only viable 1:350 kit for the POW with the reference marking for the fateful Dec 1941 scheme. However, some care is neccessary here as the reference photos are far and few and throws some doubt into the actual marking scheme. The BS tech series called for a more elaborate scheme, though there are some errors in this excellent reference manual as well. You only need to count the windows to see the obvious oversight.

As for the WEM PE, take ample care to be frugal with the rails and ladders as there is not enough to go around! A good reference book is essential to make sure you superdetail the areas correctly as the WEM instruction sheet is too basic. The Yagi antennae frames are also suspect to have errors. The shape of the 5.25inch gun platforms differs too for the kit and the tech manual. That aside, ithis combination still should build into a lovely kit.
